Am I too old to become a nurse?

I am 58 years young. I have had a business doing insurance exams. I am a licensed phlebotamist but it is too hard on my back to work in a lab leaning over all day. I have been active in many clinical researches. I want to get my nursing degree. I was told that if I get employed with a hospital they will waive my student loan. Is this true and will I be hired at 60?

Yes. You should be saving for retirement, not picking up tens of thousands in student loans. If you think phlebotomy is hard on you, just wait until you work a floor for a while. That is if you can find a job. Also, be honest here, who do you think they are going to hire a 25 y/o nurse or a 60 y/o nurse? Sorry to be so brutal but you need to be a realist here……
