new nurse...

hi everybody. im new here and im so glad i found this site while i am searching for topics and experiences of new nurses in emergency situations.

anyway, im an a new nurse working in this assisted living facility and even though the work load is not that stressful compared to hospital settings, as a new nurse im still very very scared especially whenever i think of an emergency situation that might happen on my shift even though i know the protocols and all. im scared that i might miss out on something and don't want to cause harm to my residents/patients and put my license on jeopardy at the same time. most of our residents are diabetics, elderly people with heart problems or falls. how can i be very good with my judgements and critical thinking? any advice you can give to this scared new nurse?? please share some tips or advice? >__< i will appreciate it so much. thank you!
