Nursing School Failure

What am I going to do about my nursing school failure?

I received my grade today.. 69%..needed a 70... I was totally floored. Although I went in there knowing I had a 72 at a minimum. After getting home I realized that I received a zero for an examination that I scored a 66 on. This particular test says in the syllabus. "This test is worth 5% if a score equal to or greater than 70 is achieved". It further states, "The exam counts as 5% of the theory grade only if a score greater than or equal to 70% is achieved". It also says the NLN score must be 70% or higher to receive any points. I was told numerous times that the grade doesn't effect me unless I receive a 70% or better but it does hurt me by as much as 3 points by it counting as a zero. My interpretation of the syllabus and their guidance is that it won't count at all unless you receive a 70% or greater. If they don't count the 66% they should count it as a zero, but not 5% of zero.

I don't know what to do now. I failed out by 1 point. The grades are final and I don't know if I should appeal it or just deal with the loss of 1pt.

Sorry but I say deal with it and study more, find a tutor. A 69% does not sound acceptable to me because most schools require 77% or something like that to pass. If you just scrape by with a 70% you are setting yourself up for failure on the NCLEX.
