I have a friend that was an eye doctor and had their own practice but was charged with a felony (do to mishandling of written drug prescription) and lost everything. My friend is currently serving time until beginning of next year. Their undergraduate degree was nursing. So is it possible for my friend to renew their nursing license in the state of NC? Will my friend be able to practice nursing with a felony record? Should their attorney get involved in this process and how difficult will it be?
