Hello everyone! I hope everybody is having a great weekend!
I've often heard people say that it's IMPOSSIBLE to work while going to nursing school. I'm a single parent who gets absolutely NO HELP from anyone--my son is 19 so he can basically fend for himself now, but he is still living at home and is getting ready to attend college himself. He works part-time so that does help me out a little, but I never did get any child support from his "dad" and have shouldered all the responsibility by myself.
My question is, even though I have LOUSY credit and don't even qualify for a gas station credit card, do you think it would be worth it to at least TRY to get a loan to help cover some living expenses while I'm in school? I'm sure I'm going to get a grant to cover my tuition and books, but it sure would help if I could get some other help to at least cover my car payment while I'm in school, or some other expense. I've heard there is a LOT of money out there for people going to school, but I'm just afraid I'm not going to get a cent because of my credit! And in that case, I will HAVE to work full-time while I'm in school. There's just simply no other way it can be done. Can anybody put my mind at ease? LOL Thanks for reading!!
