In 2007, Illinois passed a law requiring 20 CE credits in our 2 year licensing period. However, it will not go into effet until the 2010-2012 biennium.
(CEU is an inaccurate term which implies that the person was in class for 10 hrs.= 1CEU.
Correct terms recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center include “CE Credits”, “CE activity”, or “contact hours”, but not CEU).
