I married the wrong guy, long story short, brought parents home to live with us. I had to quit my nursing job for this, dad had a brain injury andmom with dementia. the addition to house was supposed to be 140000 ended up being 280000! his parents estate money got eaten up in the stupid house. well, sisters pushed and pushed and pushed finally state prosecutor took case. 2 years of fighting i had no more money left to go to trial. and through this divorced this jerk. He was even their poa!!!!! well, i finally settled on one conversion misdemeaner. my license is up for renewal in october. will i have a problem? live in Indiana. I have never had anything more than a speeding ticket in mywhole life and I am 40!!!! I feel like the victim- same man molested my daughter. I am distraught over this. I have no other skills besides nursing. NONE. That was just a tip of the iceberg in this nightmare.

If they know you may have a problem. I would just renew my license online and pay the fee and see what happens. I did this and so far so good. But, I also got a letter from my lawyer to present to the BON if they do catch up with me I am prepared that they will.

Am I missing something? Why did you receive a misdemeaner? Did his sisters feel their brother and you ripped the parents and them off? If you had proof of how the money was spent than why the charge, regardless of you did not have a good lawyer or not?
I would not check the box “no” on any form that ask about legal offensives. Then you have committed two violations according to the standard of nursing…A) False statement is a lie according to the state board of nursing. Then you are setting yourself up for disciplinary action.
B) Incorrect validation on a form and consenting everything on the form is the truth. Read the fine line and the pentaly for lying.
Truth always come out in the wash..do not lose your license over a lie…

The first time I renewed online I checked the box yes. They still took my money and I still have my license …..
