After I got my RN license,I tried/lost about 3 different RN jobs in a matter of a year. I was very frustrated and hated each job because of the demands. (I believe I am boarder line dyslectic since my daughter was diagnosed with it last month). I had no previous medical experience. I finally found inpatient hospice with an 11 bed maximum. The patient load ranges from none to 10 patients at any given time but I love it. It is something I can take my time with and concentrate on what is needed to be done and the occasional emergencies that do happen I am able to handle without feeling inadequate.
I highly recommand this for anyone new to nursing and having a hard time in the hospitals. It will build you skills at a slower pace and then you may be able to handle a hospital.
