Just wondering how the family presence thing is working out for everyone. I have concerns. I feel like too many individuals are using the internet to dictate patient care. I have also experienced family wanting certain medications for their family member "because it works for me". I am also finding it difficult to protect patient privacy and dignity with family members refusing to leave the room so I can clean up stool. I had a family member look insulted that I would not let her and a 12 year old boy in the room while my patient was receiving breast feeding lessons which included checking her nipples...really???? It is wearing me out.
