I'm currently on probation with the boards and i have 1 and 1/2 year left to go. part of the probation is to work for 6 consecutive months. i am not a criminal. the thing that brought me in trouble was not really my fault but i have paid dearly for it. i couldnt render services with medicare and medical re-embursements for 5 years. i have to volunteer my time as an rn. i cannot find anyplace that would help me just for the 6 month period.its been 6 long years and i wonder if i should just give up nursing completely. do you think im just wasting my time?

i just got my license back and was asking what to do, i cant get anyone to hire me. i have a unrestricted probation i do not have to do anything but i am finding that the profession i gave 15 yrs of excellent service has turned its back on me, i am thinking that it was a waste of time and money to get my license back, i will pray for you as well. all i want is to be forgiven and excepted thats all. i hope that for you too.

MY SITUATION IS THE SAME. I HAVE BEEN PLACED ON PROBATION FOR A YEAR. I AM FINDING THAT NO ONE WILL GIVE ME THE CHANCE TO WORK IN THE PROFESSION THAT I HAVE INVESTED 15 YEARS OF SERVICE. I AM FACING GOING ON WELFARE JUST TO TAKE CARE OF MY KIDS. THE BOARD OF NURSING KEEPS TELLING ME TO GET A JOB, BUT HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO DO THAT WHEN MY FIELD HAS TURNED IT’S BACK ON ME.

I’m in the same situation. I’ve been a nurse for 20 years, I’ve never abused drugs or alcohol, and no one was harmed by my actions but
the board forced me to resign from my job and now I can’t find another one although I made about 100 applications. I’ve used up my savings and I’ve lost hope.
