How are nursing school and misdemeanors related? I am currently a sophomore in college who is working on my BSN. I am going to be done with all my pre-requisites in the spring. I am applying to the nursing school at my university in the fall. Although this past summer I was arrested for simple possession of marijuana. I got the diversion program which is a probation that after a year of completing the program it will be expunged from my record. Although I will not be off of probation before the next fall term. I will be finished with it halfway through next fall semester on October 7th 2014. I was wondering if I could still apply and get into nursing school while being on probation for that charge. I really need an answer bccause I do not want to delay myself from getting into the program any more than I have to. Is there any way I could still get into the program without having to wait until the probation is over and my records expunged? I would really appreciate if someone could give me some advice or insight on my situation. Thank you very much.
