Hello Everyone~
I will soon be starting a SNE position on a oncology unit at a large hospital. This will be my first actual nursing experience and I'm very anxious to start because I am firm believer in the power of hands-on experience. This will be a unique experience because my grandmother actually stayed on this unit and it was during time that I [...]

The other day I was working in the Peds ER. I had a toddler getting an IV bolus after 3 days of vomitting. I checked the IV when I initiated the fluids. The patient was to be discharged after the bolus completed (only took about an hour). I came back when the bolus was one to disconnect it, remove the line, and give discharge papers.

I want to finish my degree, but there are SO many online programs out there, that I get overwhelmed trying to figure out which is the best one. So far, I have looked into:
-Kaplan University
-Chamberlain
-University of Phoenix
Has anyone enrolled in any of the above? Which would u recommend?
Is there a better (more cost-effective, less pre-req's required, quicker program, ease, etc) that u [...]

I'm a third year nursing student in PA, doing my clinical rotation @ Mercy Suburban Hospital. I find myself being nervous A LOT in the clinical setting when it comes to med administration. I'm great when it comes to PT communication though...Of course, my instructor has to be there and watch us give meds, but I desperately want to learn how to set up an [...]
