I am 22 yrs old and have failed the nmjc nursing program twice. The first time i made it through the first semester but had some major life distractions going on and had an avg of 76.5-failing. So, I work in an ICU that usually receives onco post-op pts, which entails taking care of pts for a few days while they are heavily monitored, sedated and intubated. Occasionally, we do get the walky-talkies who aren't use to be so constrained by all the tubing, wires, IV poles and whatever else, and will try to get up out of bed. Most often it's [...]

Hello,

I'm at the University of South Florida, going for a degree in nursing and psychology. I've got my associate's already and will be taking my last prerequisite course before being admitted into the college of nursing.

When I was in eighth grade - roughly six years ago now - I held marijuana for a friend. I know that the story sounds too cliche to [...]

What military friendly school will accept a military medic with ten years of LPN level and nine years of clinican experience for their LPN/RN program?

I have most of my college level pre-nursing requirements completed. I'm looking to start ASAP with any accredited program that will get me back to work.

Could I bypass training and just take the NCLEX PN exam?

Thanks.

Hello!

It's march and i realize that many nursing programs here in Oregon wont be taking applications for quite some time. I recently applied to a clinical psychology program but was denied, i began to rethink my academic pursuits.

I was researching nursing positions and learned about Psychiatric nurse practitioners. I already have a bachelors degree in psychology so i was hoping i could avoid the [...]

Here is my two cent philosophy about the origin of stress in nursing, which causes nurses to abuse alcohol, food, illicit activities and drugs. Caring for other human beings is a privilege and a gift from God. Which I am grateful to do for over 20 years as an RN. I feel pride in the younger people who are excited about joining the profession because they see [...]
